Red-billed Tropicbird off the Selvagem Islands #Birding #Oceans

We returned today from the Selvagem Islands trip and it was a truly amazing experience. We saw all our target birds and got to visit both islands on foot. We saw White-faced Storm and Bulwer’s Petrel, Macaronesian, Cory’s, Manx and Great Sherwater, among other species, but if there was one bird to produce unbeatable excitement, that was the Red-billed Tropicbird. We saw two and had great views! Thanks a lot to the whole group for a great trip and specially to Juanjo Ramos that made all this possible. Whimbrel fishing crabs in the Strait of Gibraltar #birding

I was trying to take pictures of a coastal landscape, for a change, but this whimbrel kept fishing crabs so close to me I had to set the tele-lens and give it a try. Barely any light, high ISO. Estaba intentando tomar paisajes de la costa, para variar un poco, pero este Zarapito Trinador insistía en pescar cangrejos a solo unos metros, así que tuve que poner el teleobjetivo y sacar unas fotos.
