First pic of the year: Eastern Meadowlark in El Valle #Birding #Panama

Yesterday we had a great morning to start 2016: 93 species of birds during an exploratory trip to El Valle, Panama, in the best company. I even had a lifer, the Slaty Antwren, which had eluded me until now. There was also time to take some pictures, like this one from an Eastern Meadowlark that has a wide distribution in North America. Despite its abundance, its a beautiful bird with a lovely song and it works well to wish you all the very best for 2016!
