Barbary or Peregrine? Falcon seen in Lanzarote #Birding #CanaryIslands

The Canary Islands are an interesting birding destination that offer a good number of specialties. The local falcons have been traditionally considered to be Barbary Falcons, but the phenology of some individuals that closely resemble Peregrines has raised some questions. This is a picture of an individual that could easily be considered a Peregrine somewhere in Iberia, that I saw recently in Lanzarote.
